Next Class Coming Soon!

The next class is an exciting one. I am going to be introducing two different transfer techniques in encaustic- one via laser printer transfer, and one from charcoal drawings. While the laser printer transfers are a crowd favorite, my heart tends to lean toward the charcoal transfers. I'd have to say it's because I don't see them done too often, and oh that texture of charcoal-it's wonderful. Classes will be around the same price as I continue to navigate this online teaching world.

Hi! Omg what wouldn’t we want to learn from you?! I would love a workshop on clouds… or if that’s proprietary, how you work alcohol inks and/or oils into your encaustic. :)

Projects/Comments

I love seeing these photos of your paintings! I'm working on trying to figure out why my comments may not be replying to the correct person, but I think I've addressed all of them. It's a bit tricky on the admin end as far as filtering through the comments and replies. But I'll get there! Thanks so much for being here!

First attempt.....

I have definetly learned some lessons on this. Scraped too much in spots and need more layers of encaustic paint under the white. I have enjoyed learning this technique and am excited to adapt it to something more my own!

They look great! More successful than my sunken stones! 🤣

Hi Shannon, So I have some beautiful river stones appearing but they are very sunk into my wax because I put too much white wax on in an attempt to get a lovely smooth background! Should I leave them sunken or once exposed should I try to remove some white wax to make the Board more level? Thanks for the advice. Gill.
